I'm a full-stack developer based in Penzance. I spent two years at Hiyield, a B Corp digital agency in Truro, on a small Agile WordPress team, working on sites for more than 25 clients, from charities to B2B tech firms.
Most of that work was turning Figma designs into reusable Gutenberg blocks in PHP, JavaScript and Tailwind CSS. I built more than 50 of them over that time. The aim was always the same: a content team should be able to build and edit a page without waiting on a developer.
Outside work I build my own projects. Dispatch is a serverless Discord app on Cloudflare Workers that turns community bug reports into structured GitHub issues. ReSkate Trainer Updater is a .NET desktop app with signed update manifests, automatic rollback and a release pipeline behind it.
I came through the apprenticeship route, starting with a BTEC and T Level at Truro and Penwith College, and completed the Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship, which was graded Distinction. Before that I spent a year on placement with Cornwall IT Services, the IT provider for the NHS in Cornwall.
